Expectations

Stop and think!Everything that we have revolves around expectations.There are expectations from the time you are born till the time you lie lifeless on your dead bed.

When the blossoms bloom when I look into those deep eyes that take me to a wonderland, where there is no fear, no hatred just love that transpires between two souls, I have expectations! I want her to love me, to think of my well being and take care of me as she wants me to be loyal to her and think of her happiness before mine.

When a child is born with the eyes closed to the world and body sensitive to its harshness, in the tenderness of a mother's gaze and the protection of the father's arms, there is expectations!

When the love is bonded and a seal is secured, with the tying of the knot when a relationship is secured, in the festivities of the marriage and the happiness of the crowd there is expectations!

When we grow up to face the world, live life the way no one has ever lived before and create paths where a journey was thought to be a impossible,while we live in a world that doesn't seem to understand us.We have expectations and the entire country has expectations!

It is difficult to visualize what world would be without Expectations!

The Indian Culture

Being part of SPIC MACAY, I had the rare honor of organizing a series of performances for Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj. As a volunteer it also gave me a chance to be in his presence and learn at his feet, not dance but some lessons for life. And as   a volunteer of SPIC MACAY I have had the honor of learning from many other great artistes.  Since I have associated with SPIC MACAY I have been continuously bombarded with the question of the state of our culture. It was always a question of great thought for me too. Why is it that you have to work so hard to make a presence of your own culture in the heart of the youth? They don’t have any knowledge and neither do they want to have any.  After being a part of that age myself, I was not able to find a satisfying answer. But once I sat for Padma Vibhushan Pt. In Support to Fight Against Corruption

Kisan Baburao Hazare, or as we better know him as "Anna Hazare", has really brought the nation to rise and stand up against an illness we were aware of but didn't do much about. Today the entire nation stands in support of his cause and the bill that he has proposed. All this debate has really forced me to think about the root cause of the problem. Why do we have corruption and where did it all start? I was discussing the same with a very close friend of mine, when I realized that we, the citizens of India, have given birth to this parasite, and now it has made home in our nation. Whenever we need to get some official work done or get some clearance from a government agency, the first thought that comes to our mind is about giving bribe. There would be plenty of people who would have bribed their way to get their driving license and plenty others who would do the same to get other work done. Aren't we directly feeding corruption?
