Hum Mile Kyu!

Hum bichde kyu, mile kyu
Teri yaado ka karwa mere saath rehta hai kyu
Janejaana yeh toh bata, yeh do pal ka rishta hum ne rakha hi kyu
Mein tujhe apnaya apna samajhkar
Esi kya katha hui, jo humse tu rooth gayi yu
Socha tha zindagi ki mushkilo ko nibhaenge milke
Fir ek galti se hum rukhe hue hai kyu
Hum mile kyu bichde hai kyu?
Lonely without You!

Salute To All The Teachers!

Treading down the unknown path,
I was but a little lost.
Until you came to guide my destiny,
Like a guardian, you corrected me when I was wrong.
I would have been lost,
Hadn’t it been for your wisdom!
I learned more than I could have ever,
Gave me the courage to face this world alone.
Now I stand before the naked eye,
Fighting for what’s my right.
And it’s because of your grace,
I am able to achieve what I was sent for.
Knowledge and wisdom,
Is not something I can weigh!
But I owe all of it to you, my Teachers!

Hum Dono!

Just brought two great pieces of art together.. Credit goes to its creators.

The Indian Culture

Being part of SPIC MACAY, I had the rare honor of organizing a series of performances for Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj. As a volunteer it also gave me a chance to be in his presence and learn at his feet, not dance but some lessons for life. And as  a volunteer of SPIC MACAY I have had the honor of learning from many other great artistes.

Since I have associated with SPIC MACAY I have been continuously bombarded with the question of the state of our culture. It was always a question of great thought for me too. Why is it that you have to work so hard to make a presence of your own culture in the heart of the youth? They don’t have any knowledge and neither do they want to have any.

After being a part of that age myself, I was not able to find a satisfying answer. But once I sat for Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj’s performance, I realized what all the answer staring at my face. If you observe, the beauty of Indian art is that it is not just some movement or just beat, every motion and every sound has a meaning behind it. From a small movement of the eye in Kathakali to circular alaap in classical singing, everything has a deep routed meaning. If you listen to classical music with your eyes closed, it connects you with your inner self, your soul. If you see any Indian classical dance form, it brings you closer to the beauty of nature and being.

In the present day life, when the competition is so tough and there isn’t any time for life, everyone is looking for something to give them that extra boost. No one actually realizing that by just increasing the speed, they are not achieving anything. They are just running. That is one reason why we have an increase of illnesses due to stress. And that is one reason why they should care more for their Indian Culture. It gives them time to realize their own strength and the calmness to achieve their goal. That is why, some of the great scholars, listen to Indian Classical music during their relaxing time, as it enhances their abilities. And I believe everyone will agree with me here!

An emotion by my friend Aviral

Every night I have the feeling of DejaVu
Reminds me of the tym when I 1st saw you
There are millions of stars twinkling in d night
None of dem are as bright as the moons light

You are the moon i see every night
Coz u make my life so bright
No mattee how the boat of my life rolls
You pass ur light from within the cloud holes

But then i seem 2 frget that smtyms deres bad weather
When troubles hir lyk a rock evn ven dey are as light as a feather
Guess dats wts lyf all about
No matter hw beautiful it is it appears ugly and stout

I wanna let u knw knw hw mch i love u
The sky might b cloudy bt d oceans still blue
Every cloud has a silver lining
We jst cant see it coz of our stupid timing

Dont knw y u r dng dis 2 me
I'm crazy fr u cant u see
If deres smthin u wanna say
Tomorrows alwaz a new day

I dnt care wt we've left behind
Ill erase all memories from my mind
You can leave if u want to
But P.S. I love u

What is Love?

What is Love, Baby don't hurt me...

What is really love, is it something that bad that our elders see it with suspicion, people are often afraid to express it and where they say it happens only once, there seems to be a fashion of falling in love.

I have been in it, and I believe I am still in it. A simple statement or just a word does not change anything. Love is a feeling, it is something really beautiful!

When your heart starts pounding so hard, that you can feel it beating, loud and clear, whenever you see someone, and your eyes are diving from one end to the other when you are waiting for someone. When your mind pops thousands of situations when you are waiting for someone and the person is late, and when you swear to God to kill anyone who either humiliates or troubles someone. When all these things happen for one person, then that is LOVE!

Love is a wonderful feeling, it gives you strength to stay away from your loved one and still stay in love. When it becomes difficult to breath, love gives you the strength to smile.

Ironically, Love is your Greatest Strength but also your Biggest Weakness! But whatever it is, it is one special feeling to be in. Trust me, cause for as long as I live, I'll be in love!

In Support to Fight Against Corruption

Kisan Baburao Hazare, or as we better know him as "Anna Hazare", has really brought the nation to rise and stand up against an illness we were aware of but didn't do much about. Today the entire nation stands in support of his cause and the bill that he has proposed. All this debate has really forced me to think about the root cause of the problem. Why do we have corruption and where did it all start?

I was discussing the same with a very close friend of mine, when I realized that we, the citizens of India, have given birth to this parasite, and now it has made home in our nation. Whenever we need to get some official work done or get some clearance from a government agency, the first thought that comes to our mind is about giving bribe. There would be plenty of people who would have bribed their way to get their driving license and plenty others who would do the same to get other work done.

Aren't we directly feeding corruption? If we make a stand and decide to stand as a nation against bribe, don't you think we would be eradicating the problem to quite an extent?

I asked the same to my friend, and she said had a different opinion. What she said was also noteworthy. She said that today corruption is so deep rooted, that no one wants to work until they are bribed. What better example do we have than highlighted by the famous sitcom "Office Office." As in the sitcom, even in true life, people don't work or provide you the information, till they are fed "under the table." Also, till we have a some checkpoint or some law that can punish those asking for bribe, no one has an incentive to do anything without it.

Today even if we make it a point to not bribe, then we are disturbed not the official, as there are others who are bribing their way off. I really didn't have an answer to her counter argument. I thought really hard about it, if this is the problem, than there has to be a solution.Today the nation has made it clear that it wants to remove this illness once and for all, and if we want we can!

And so I feel, that if we want to stop corruption than we need to stop bribing people. And to do that and to still get our work done (till the bill passes) we need to stand, as a nation, with all those people who are decide not to bribe. And if there is someone who doesn't work, then lets gather a public awareness about it. Lets discuss about it, like we have gathered support for the bill (because of which, it has become the focus of the government) lets gather support against those who refuse to work until they are fed "under the table."

To do this, I propose to create a site, where people can report such cases and the nation could support them and bring such incidents to limelight. Would appreciate your opinion.
